Cincinnati, OH-December 21, 2011 Smith & Schaefer, a Cincinnati based regional dealer representative for healthcare and scientific equipment and furnishings, announces the promotion of Bill Doherty to general manager of the Healthcare Furniture Group.

Doherty joined the company in 2010 and previously held the position of director of corporate healthcare accounts with Smith & Schaefer.  Bill will be responsible for all facets of the Healthcare Furniture Group, including sales, operations and customer satisfaction.

Cincinnati Based Company Announces Hire of Industry Expert

Young has been in this industry for over 28 years and within these years worked in a sub -contracting position for Smith & Schafer.  He joins the Smith & Schaefer team with extensive experience in installation of Skytron lights and booms, sterilizers and washers, and Thermo Scientific Hamilton and Herman Miller products.

Cincinnati Based Company Announces Hire of New Biomed Service Technician  

 

Cincinnati, OH-July 27, 2011- Smith & Schaefer, a Cincinnati based regional dealer representative for healthcare and scientific equipment and furnishings, added industry expert James William as a Biomed Service Technician.

James comes to Smith & Schaefer with consistent and extensive work history as a service engineer in the commercial and industrial field.  Prior to this position, James operated his own business for nine years as a certified class one service engineer for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.

“With his experience in mechanical, electrical equipment service and repairs, and sales of preventive maintenance programs, he will be a great asset to our company,” said Robert Mooney, CET, BMT, service manager of Smith & Schaefer.   “James will add an important objective to Smith & Schaefer’s Service Department’s goals with his experience and extensive background in sales of parts and service.”

Smith & Schaefer donates 13 wardrobe units to Brighton Center’s Homeward Bound Runaway Shelter

Cincinnati Based Company Helps Renovate Local Children’s Shelter

Cincinnati, OH-June 28, 2011- Smith & Schaefer, a Cincinnati based regional dealer representative for healthcare and scientific equipment and furnishings, donated 13 wardrobes to the Brighton Center’s Homeward Bound Runaway shelter in efforts to help in the new renovations of their Covington facility.

“We were happy to be able to be a part of the renovations of the shelter, said Leslie Gray, account manager at Smith & Schaefer.  “Homeward Bound offers a comforting, safe haven for young people in crisis or in transition.  We’re so glad that this high quality furniture has found its home.”

The 13 wardrobes were delivered by Smith & Schaefer and installed by partnering company The Wegman Company. The wardrobes provide a place for residence to keep their personal belongings safe and secure.

“The wardrobes are a beautiful addition to our facility and the children have found great use of them,” said Amanda Roebel, program coordinator at the Brighton Center.  “We are very appreciative of Smith & Schafer’s generous donation.”

Other renovations of the shelter include new flooring, furniture, and new technology and were made possible by The Leadership of Northern Kentucky 2011 class pledge project. This year’s leadership class raised $40,000 to help the Homeward Bound Shelter in their renovations.

CAD Engineer brings healthcare and scientific industry experience

Cincinnati, OH — May 19, 2011 Smith & Schaefer, a Cincinnati based regional dealer representative for healthcare and scientific equipment and furnishings, announces the addition of industry expert Bob Turner as CAD Engineer.

Turner has been in the healthcare and scientific industries for more than 12 years and has professional experience in multiple fields including building and remodeling design and production drawing and design. Turner’s primary responsibilities will be fabrication, installation, and coordination of shop drawings for Thermo Fisher Hamilton casework and equipment.
